The Dadeville School Board is considering the use of School Protection Officers in order to provide additional security for our students. A public hearing will be scheduled in August prior to the regularly scheduled board meeting. School protection officers are selected faculty members who have completed the necessary requirements as established by Missouri law. Information on the duties of a school protection officer and the requirements that are necessary for a school district to permit the use of school protection officers will be provided at the meeting including the required training and background checks. These requirements are established by Missouri Statute 160.665. The School Board has final authority on whether to permit school protection officers within the district and who these individuals may be The exact date and time for the hearing will be made public once confirmed.
