The Dadeville School Board has elected to lift the current mask requirement at school as a result of current COVID conditions at school and in the county. The District will continue to monitor the situation and adapt if future conditions dictate. Masks will still be required on the school bus. Thank you!

The Dadeville Kindergarten screening for the 2021-2022 school year will be held Friday, May 7th at the Dadeville Baptist Church. Your child must be at least 5 years old by August 1st. Please call the school at 417-995-2201 to schedule your child’s appointment. Please have a copy of your child’s birth certificate, social security card, and shot records. All paperwork including shot records will need to be to the office no later than July 1st.

Parent teacher conferences have been rescheduled for Monday, March 8th and Thursday, March 11th. Elementary parents, please schedule a time with your child's teacher. Information concerning active COVID-19 cases and quarantines for the district will now be posted on the districts website and app. This will be our primary method of communicating positive cases and this information will be updated as data changes. As always parents of students who are considered close contacts of individuals that tested positive will be contacted by the school and health department.

Unfortunately due to new positive COVID-19 cases in the high school and resulting quarantines both Christmas Concerts scheduled for tonight have been cancelled. We will provide additional information concerning the potential reschedule plan once decided.

The protocol for the music concert has been sent home with each student today. The lists have also been put on the school website under "Documents" in the "Music Concert Protocol" folder.

The Dadeville FFA is hosting a non-perishable food drive in conjunction with the Missouri FFA association and Missouri Farmers Care. All donations collected will be divide between the Dade county food bank and the Dadeville backpack program. All food and money donations can be sent to the school building. This event will run October 30- November 9. Thank you for all of your help in providing food for those in need as we near the holiday season during this year of uncertainty.

Congratulations to Matthew Huchteman for earning the American FFA Degree. The award ceremony will take place at 7:45 this evening at www.ffa.org and on RFD-TV. This is the highest degree achievable in the National FFA Organization and is earned by students who demonstrate an exceptional level of commitment to the FFA and a Supervised Agriculture Experience (SAE). The future of agriculture is bright!

DESE has extended a program that will allow all students to receive free breakfast and lunch as of September 1, 2020. The program will continue as long as funds allow (December 31, 2020 at the latest), at which point students will return to their current lunch status. Morning Drop Off Procedure:
Students arriving between 7:30 and 7:50 will be dropped off at the gym. Students dropped off after 7:50 will be at the main building. At 7:50, students will go to their classrooms. Breakfast for 2-12 will be served in classrooms between 7:50 and 8:15. Kindergarten and first grade will be served breakfast in the cafeteria at 7:55. Classes will begin at 8:20.
Please screen your child daily for fever. Keep your child home of he/she is ill.

Announcement: The district will provide a mask for each student. At this point, they are not required but are recommended. The bus drivers would appreciate your child wearing a mask while on the bus for the safety of the driver and the students.

Kindergarten and First grade parents will be able to drop their child off on the first day of school. Please line up against the building by the east door between 7:50 and 8:10. A staff member will give further instructions at the door. Please park in the main parking lot. Do not park in the bus lot to ensure safe bus unloading.

Dadeville Graduation will be Friday June 19th at 8:00 PM. There will be 15 reserved seats on the floor for each graduate's family and guest. There will be limited seating in the bleachers for the community. Please respect social distancing by sitting with the group of people you arrive with and allow space between other groups. When the ceremony concludes the gym will be evacuated promptly and a receiving line for the graduates will form outside. Thanks for your cooperation!

Attention JH and HS Girls. The 2020 Ladycat Basketball camp will be held this Thursday (June 11th) and Friday (June 12th). Thursday: HS players 5-8 pm, JH 6:30-8 pm. Friday (scrimmage): All ages 4-5:30. There is no charge to attend, and all attendees will receive a free water bottle. All interested students are encouraged to attend. Davin Hatch is the son of Clayton and Mandi Hatch. He moved to Dadeville in the summer of 2017 and resides in the home of his great grandparents Gerald and Shirley Goodman. His dad also lived with his Grandma and Grandpa Goodman during his high school years. Davin participated in music at school and a little time in basketball. He enjoy’s spending his spare time playing his guitar and reading. He also participates in the seminary program which is preparing him to soon serve a full-time two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints. He is looking forward to serving his mission and thereafter will attend college most likely at BYU Idaho.

Saedee Sherwood is the daughter of Hale Sherwood and Angie Baker. Saedee has earned the honor of Class of 2020 Salutatorian. She has been an active member of FFA, FCCLA, NHS, basketball, softball all four years of high school. Saedee plans to attend Ozarks Technical Community College where she will major in Music Education.

Clinton Allen McGill is the son of Curtis and Charity McGill. Clinton has earned the honor of Valedictorian for the Class of 2020. He has attended Dadeville High School since Kindergarten, and is active in basketball, baseball, cross country, FFA, instrumental music, and NHS. Clinton’s plans are to attend College of the Ozarks and pursue a degree in mathematics education.

The First Christian Church of Dadeville has graciously paid all outstanding student lunch debt for this school year. It’s great to be a part of such a caring community!

Unfortunately, Governor Parson has ordered schools closed for the rest of the school year. Distance learning and meal deliveries will continue through May 22. The school's baseball field lights will be on Friday night at 8:20 as part of the national "Be the light" movement. This is a symbolic way to provide encouragement to the Senior Class of 2020 during a tough situation.

After conferring with our local health department, Dade County schools will remain closed through April 24. The safety of our students, staff, and community remains our highest priority. Starting next week the school will be providing a grab and go lunches for those interested. More details will be provided by the end of this week.

With the direction of the local health department Dade County school district leaders have made the decision to close schools through April 3 due to the coronavirus. All buildings will be closed and all extra curricular activities will be suspended during this time period. Plans concerning distance learning are being developed and will be communicated early next week.

The Sac River Institute has generously requested to provide school supplies for all students for the 2019-2020 school year. Dadeville students participated in the Dade County Soil and Water Conservation District Poster Contest. Hollie McGill was the 1st place winner for third grade. Addison Orr won 1st place for fourth grade. Josh King won 2nd place in fifth grade. Sixth grade had three winners; Landon Keathley- 1st place, Rowan Schedler- 2nd place and Wiley Proctor -Honorable Mention. All first place winners will advance to state competition in Jefferson City.

Baseball game scheduled for today v. Walnut Grove has been cancelled and will be rescheduled at a later date.

Several students participated in the Stockton Junior High Music Festival over the weekend. The Girls Quartet received a I rating. Members were Emily Yount, Chloe Cornelison, Lilly Cornelison, and Tori Schedler. Soloist were Emily Yount (I rating), Bailey McGill (I rating), Chloe Cornelison (I rating), and Leah Hatch (II rating).

Congratulations to Macey Sappington for winning 3rd Place in the Ozark Electric Cooperative Essay Contest.
She will attend the Cycle Leadership Conference in Jefferson City. Macey was also selected as runner up for her essay in the "Nature and Me" contest, sponsored by the Missouri Master Naturalists. We are proud of you Macey!

Kindergarten Screening is on April 27. If you have a prospective student who will enroll in Kindergarten next school year, please call the school to schedule an appointment.

The Senior Class is having a bake sale in front of Peaks Feed Store on Sunday March 25 beginning at 12:15. Thank you for your support!

Congratulations to the following students for placing in their area at the PCL Math Contest: Jacob King (1st) Luke Bushey(4th) Caden Farmer (7th) Carter Lakey (7th) Clinton McGill (7th,9th) Samantha Melton (5th)and Saedee Sherwood (10th). The Junior High finished 2nd Overall!

Spring pictures will be Wednesday morning. Athletic pictures for high school basketball, cheerleading and baseball will be Wednesday afternoon.

Just a reminder there is no school on Friday (March 16), but school is in session on Monday (March 19) as it is a snow make-up day.

FCCLA STAR students competed in State Competitions Monday. All three teams were awarded a GOLD rating. Congratulations to all three teams. Macey Sappington and Lexi Lakey were awarded the top honor for the Sport Nutrition Competition and will compete at Nationals in June.

The following students placed in the Dade County Soil and Water Conservation Annual Poster Contest: Emma Sayers 3rd Place, Josh King 2nd Place, Payton Garver 3rd Place, Bryson Graham 2nd Place and Brayden Garver 2nd Place. Winners are invited to the annual dinner meeting to receive a trophy and cash prize.

Spring Picture Day is next Wednesday March 21. Picture packets for both class and individual pictures as well as athletics are being sent home with students. This date is a correction from a previous post.

Don't forget School is out of session Friday March 9 and Friday March 16.

Dadeville FCA shirts are available for purchase. Shirts cost $14 and orders are due by March 16. Please contact Mr. Becker to place an order.

Thanks to the Dadeville Baptist Church Women's Ministry Group for providing snacks for our staff during Parent Teacher Conferences. The food was excellent and very much appreciated!

Don't forget parent teacher conferences are on Tuesday March 6 and Thursday March 8 from 3:30 to 6:00

Baseball Jamboree is scheduled for Friday March 9. Game times are TBD.

Remember. School is in session on Monday , February 19 as a result of a previous snow day.

The girls play tonight at the Everton Tournament at 8:30 and the boys play tomorrow at 4pm. Go Bearcats!!

Congrats to the boys basketball team who won over Hermitage in overtime. The score was 91-78. They will play Thursday at 5:30 against Fair Play in the Humansville Tournament. Way to go Bearcats!!
