The annual “Friends of the FFA” fish fry will be held on Monday October 3 @ 6:00 pm on the school grounds. Come one, come all!
Clark Center will be providing a grief counseling workshop for parents next Wednesday, October 5 from 5:30 - 6:30 at the school.
PICTURE DAY Thursday, September 29th is fall picture day. Please send the completed fall portrait order forms with money if you wish to purchase a picture. Sports pictures will take place in the afternoon. All athletes need to bring completed sports order forms with money if you wish to purchase a picture. The fall portrait prices are different than the sports picture prices.
Softball Blue-Out Come support Dadeville FCCLA and SADD tonight as the Dadeville softball team takes on Macks Creek. All money made in the concession stand and through shirt sales will be donated to the Students Against Destructive Decisions organization. Wear blue to support the team and SADD.
Tonight is the last night for elementary basketball sign ups. Sign ups will be from 5-7 at the community building.
Parents/Guardians If you are interested in signing up for the Parent Portal, please fill out the Teacher Ease Parent Portal form that is being sent home today and return it to the office. The Parent Portal will allow you as the parent to check your child(s) grades, attendance, lunch balance, and more.
The Senior Class is selling taco salad and sweet tea tonight at the concession stand during the JH BB game v. Fair Play. They also will be selling raffle tickets for a 1/2 beef.

On behalf of the Dadeville School, I extend a heartfelt thank you to Dadeville parents, the Dadeville community, and all of the surrounding communities which have stepped up and loved us during this storm. The Board of Education, staff and I have been surrounded with love and prayers in recent days. Words can not adequately express how thankful we are and how privileged we feel to work in this community. We do ask that you continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we navigate through this. Please know that we love your kids and will continue to provide each student with a positive learning experience and high quality education.
Memorial services for Dr. Matt Bushey will be at the First Baptist Church in Bolivar. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 pm. The funeral will be held Saturday at 2:00 pm.
Dear Dadeville School families, It is with heavy hearts that I share with you the passing of Superintendent Matt Bushey. Dr. Bushey was lost in an automobile accident this morning just prior to the school day. As you know, this is the first day of school and we understand the emotions that our staff and students are feeling. Counselors have been on hand today and will be in future days for those who need assistance. The Board of Education members, staff and I grieve his passing and ask that you join us with thoughts and prayers for his family. Additional information will be shared as it becomes available. Just a reminder Open House is Tuesday at 6:00 PM. Also don't forget to fill out the parent contact form and free and reduced lunch application that was mailed home. All school meals will be charged at full price this year unless you qualify for the free or reduced lunch program verified through the application process. Students in grades 9-12 wanting to participate in cross country, practice will begin tomorrow at 8:00 AM
Girls Junior High basketball practice will begin Tuesday, Aug 9th from 6-8 PM. There will be a brief meeting with parents at the end of practice that night. Schedule for the week will be 6-8 pm each night EXCEPT Wednesday. Wednesday practice will be 3-5 pm. Remember that students must have a physical on file with the school prior to beginning practice. These need to be completed every 2 years, so likely all 6th and 8th grade girls will need one. Call the school office if you need more information! Also remember that players MUST have 14 practices completed before they can compete in their first game. If you have any questions at all prior to practice, feel free to contact Coach Roller at 417-777-1826.
Junior High Boys basketball practice next week are as follows: Tuesday August 9th: 8:00-10:00am Wednesday August 10th: 8:00-10:00am Thursday August 11th: 8:00-10:00am Friday August 12th: 8:00-10:00am Boys must have sports physical on file before they are eligible to practice.

The Sac River Institute will once again be providing school supplies for all students. Students just need to get their own back pack and gym shoes. A big thank you goes out to the Institute and all those involved with organizing and purchasing the supplies!!
Middle School Boys Basketball will have open gym on the following dates from 6:00 to 8:00 PM: Friday July 8, Monday July 11, Friday July 15, and Friday July 22.
