
Anyone planning on attending the State Cross Country meet this Saturday, November 5th needs to purchase a digital ticket to enter. Go to www.mshsaa.org/ and select the Tickets icon at the top to begin. You may print the ticket or use your digital ticket on your phone as proof of purchase. No tickets will be sold at the venue.

The deadline to receive a free T-shirt with your registration for the Bushey 5K is Friday, November 4th. Go to www.dadevillebearcats.org/events/ to register.

The last day to turn in Mini Cheer Clinic forms to Mrs. Ochner will be Monday, October 31st.

Game passes for regular season home basketball games may be purchased from the main office. Adult pass-$24, Student pass- $16, Senior pass-$8

TUTORING CANCELED THIS WEEK
Tutoring will be canceled this week due to Parent Teacher Conferences. It will resume on Tuesday, October 11.

Parent Teacher Conferences are Tuesday, October 4th and Thursday, October 6th. School will not be in session on Friday, October 7th.

The annual “Friends of the FFA” fish fry will be held on Monday October 3 @ 6:00 pm on the school grounds.

PICTURE DAY
Thursday, September 29th is fall picture day. Please send the completed fall portrait order forms with money if you wish to purchase a picture. Sports pictures will take place in the afternoon. All athletes need to bring completed sports order forms with money if you wish to purchase a picture. The fall portrait prices are different than the sports picture prices.

Softball Blue-Out
Come support Dadeville FCCLA and SADD tonight as the Dadeville softball team takes on Macks Creek. All money made in the concession stand and through shirt sales will be donated to the Students Against Destructive Decisions organization. Wear blue to support the team and SADD.

Tonight is the last night for elementary basketball sign ups. Sign ups will be from 5-7 at the community building.

Parents/Guardians
If you are interested in signing up for the Parent Portal, please fill out the Teacher Ease Parent Portal form that is being sent home today and return it to the office. The Parent Portal will allow you as the parent to check your child(s) grades, attendance, lunch balance, and more.

The Senior Class is selling taco salad and sweet tea tonight at the concession stand during the JH BB game v. Fair Play. They also will be selling raffle tickets for a 1/2 beef.

Elementary basketball sign ups will be Friday, September 9th from 5-7 in the gym lobby.

The Friends of the FFA will meet Thursday evening at 7:00 pm in Ag building.

On behalf of the Dadeville School, I extend a heartfelt thank you to Dadeville parents, the Dadeville community, and all of the surrounding communities which have stepped up and loved us during this storm. The Board of Education, staff and I have been surrounded with love and prayers in recent days. Words can not adequately express how thankful we are and how privileged we feel to work in this community. We do ask that you continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we navigate through this. Please know that we love your kids and will continue to provide each student with a positive learning experience and high quality education.

Memorial services for Dr. Matt Bushey will be at the First Baptist Church in Bolivar. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 pm. The funeral will be held Saturday at 2:00 pm.

Dear Dadeville School families,
It is with heavy hearts that I share with you the passing of Superintendent Matt
Bushey. Dr. Bushey was lost in an automobile accident this morning just prior to
the school day. As you know, this is the first day of school and we understand the emotions that our staff and students are feeling. Counselors have been on hand today and will be in future days for those who need assistance.
The Board of Education members, staff and I grieve his passing and ask that you join us with thoughts and prayers for his family. Additional information will be shared as it becomes available.
